Divided Thinking: Split between content and student activities
Notice how the teacher in this picture below divides his attention between the content and the student activities. Teachers can often feel almost schizophrenic as they try to figure out what they are teaching and what they should have their students do. They often struggle with text books, too, trying to figure out how to make the activities work.
